HANDLING

• This substance is a highly flammable and toxic liquid. Therefore, personnel should use personal protective equipment during handling. Personnel should receive relevant training on the risk and safe use of this substance.
• Without proper ventilation, vapors can accumulate just above the floor and, if triggered, ignite later on, with the danger of ignition.
• Connect to a grounding system and wear antistatic shoes during liquid handling operations in oversized packages.
• Avoid accumulation of electrostatic charges.
• Avoid contact with skin and eyes. 
• Do not breathe vapours or spray mist. 
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment when necessary to avoid contact with this chemical substance or the polluted equipment. 
• KeKeep away from heat sources, sparks and naked flames, do not smoke, do not use matches and lighters
• Wash thoroughly after handling.
• The empty tanks, containers, and lines may contain harmful residues. Therefore, there should be no welding, cutting, drilling, or heating before they are cleaned. 
• Do not use with incompatible chemicals (such as strong oxidants) in order to decrease the risks of fire and explosion. 
• Use containers made from compatible materials. Do not spill during dispensing. 
• Do not use compressed air during filling and discharge.
• Do not pour polluted liquid back to the original container. 
• The tanks or containers may be filled with inert gas to reduce the risk of fire and explosion. 

SAFE STORAGE (Requirements for storage areas and containers)

• The installation of the system for detecting leakage and fire, the appropriate fire-fighting system, or emergency operation equipment in the storage area and large quantity operation area should be taken into consideration. 
• The formation of mist or vapor during the operation should be avoided. The operation should be conducted in a well-ventilated area in the smallest quantity possible. The operation area should be separated from the storage area. 
• The floor should be constructed with impermeable material to avoid absorption by the floor. 
• Store in cool place. Keep containers tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place away from direct sunlight. 
• Keep in glass, steel or aluminium containers (tanks). 
• Keep away from food, drink and animal feeding stuffs. 
• Do not store with inorganic substances, combustible substances and materials. 
• Keep away from heat sources and flammable sources.
• Set up slopes, doorsills or furrows at doorways so that leaking substances are discharged to a safe place. 
• Containers should be checked for damages or leakage regularly. 
• The storage tanks should be grounded and connected to other equipment at equivalent electric potential. 
• The storage of large quantities should be avoided. The chemical should be stored in the isolated fireproof building. 
• The exhaust pipes of tanks should be installed with flame arresters. 

DISPOSAL CONSIDERATIONS

• Offer surplus and non-recyclable solutions to a licensed disposal company.
• Do not dispose of waste into sewer. 
• Do not dispose of together with household waste. 
• Mix with compatible chemical which is less flammable and incinerate.
• Since emptied containers retain product residue, follow label warnings even after container is emptied. 
• Residual vapors may explode on ignition; do not cut, drill, grind, or weld on or near this container.
• Transportation of waste may be subject to ADR.
