HANDLING

• Wear suitable protective clothing against flash and explosion.
• Use only outside or in a well-ventilated area. Avoid breathing its dust / smoke / gas / mist / vapor / spray.
• In case of insufficient ventilation, wear suitable respiratory equipment. 
• Dissipate static electricity during transfer by grounding and bonding containers and equipment. 
• No eating, drinking, smoking or open flames permitted in storage, use, or handling areas. 
• Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
• Remove ignition sources. Avoid sparks. 
• Handling operation temperatures: Room temperature
• Avoid exposure to light, heat or air. Exposure to light, heat or air significantly increases peroxide formation. If evaporated to a residue, the mixture of peroxides residue and material vapor may explode when exposed to heat or shock. 
• Prevent small spills and leakage to avoid slip hazard.
• Do NOT use compressed air for filling, discharging, or handling operations. 

SAFE STORAGE (Requirements for storage areas and containers)

• Store in segregated and approved area. Outside or detached storage preferred. 
• Storage area should be clearly identified, well-illuminated, clear of obstruction and accessible only to trained and authorized personnel.
• Storage area should be equipped with appropriate extinguishing capability (e.g. sprinkler system, portable fire extinguishers, flammable gas detectors). 
• Equip storage tank vents with a flame arrestor and inspect vents during winter conditions for vapor ice build‐up.
• Drums must be grounded and bonded and equipped with self-closing valves, pressure vacuum bungs and flame arresters. 
• Use epoxy paint, zinc silicate paint for container paints.
• Use mild steel, stainless steel for containers or container linings.
• Keep containers closed when not in use.
• Keep away from aerosols, flammable materials, oxidizing agents, corrosive materials and products that are harmful or toxic to humans or the environment.
• It should be stored in a well-ventilated area, away from sunlight, ignition elements and other heat sources.

DISPOSAL CONSIDERATIONS

• Empty containers may contain residue and can be dangerous. Do not attempt to refill or clean containers without proper instructions.
• Empty containers should be taken for recycling, recovery, or disposal through suitably qualified or licensed contractor and in accordance with governmental regulations. 
• Prevent entry into sewers, drains, underground or confined spaces, water intakes and waterways. 
• Do not, puncture, cut, or weld uncleaned drums.
