HANDLING
- When using, do not eat, drink or smoke.
- Remove contaminated clothing and equipment before entering eating areas.
- Do not use compressed air during filling and discharge.
- Take precautionary measures against static discharge.
- Wear personal protective equipment during handling operations.
- Use local exhaust extraction over processing area.
- Do not empty into drains.
SAFE STORAGE (Requirements for storage areas and containers)
- Do not spread the product to the working environment.
- Do not store near food, foodstuffs, drugs or potable water supplies.
- Keep containers / tanks tightly closed, dry, clean and rust free, store in a cool place.
- Containers, even those that have been emptied, can contain explosive vapours. Do not cut, drill, grind, weld or perform similar operations on or near containers.
- Keep away from sources of fire, sparks and arc.
- Protect from air, humidity, heat, sunlight, ignition sources and the effects of light.
- Suitable materials for containers: aluminium, Stainless steel, mild steel, carbon steel, high density polyethylene (HDPE).
- Packaging and transport temperature must be at ambient temperature less than 40 °C.
- Drums should be stacked to a maximum of 3 high.
- Due to its moisture retention feature, it should be kept under nitrogen cover in long-term storage.
DISPOSAL CONSIDERATIONS
- Uncontaminated packaging can be re-used.
- Contaminated packaging should be sent for recovery or disposal in accordance with local waste management regulations.
- Collect it and recover it or turn it into ashes.
- Do not dump into any sewers, on the ground, or into any body of water. Waste product should not be allowed to contaminate soil or water.
