HANDLING

• Use in a well-ventilated area. Wear appropriate respirator when ventilation is inadequate.
• Do not breathe vapours or spray mist. 
• Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. 
• Avoid smoking, naked lights, heat or ignition sources.
• DO NOT use plastic buckets.
• Use spark-free tools when handling. Use ex-proof equipment.
• Earth and secure metal containers when dispensing or pouring product.
• Prevent formation of aerosols.
• When handling, DO NOT eat, drink or smoke.
• Avoid contact with incompatible materials. (Acids, oxidizers, alkali metals and nitrates, aliphatic amines, peroxides)
• Work clothes should be laundered separately.
• Do not reuse container.
• To avoid the risk of fire and explosion, never use compressed air when handling.
• Strong agitation and rapid flow of the liquid in pipes and devices may cause the formation of electrostatic charges, accumulation, fire and explosion hazard.

SAFE STORAGE (Requirements for storage areas and containers)

• DO NOT store in pits, depressions, basements or areas where vapours may be trapped.
• Keep in an area equipped with solvent resistant flooring. 
• Store in a segregated and approved area.
• Store in well-ventilated, cool, dry conditions in well-sealed receptacles.
• Separate from oxidizing materials. Do not store together with oxidizing and self-igniting products. 
• Keep away from strong acids and bases, peroxides, water and moisture.
• Store and use away from direct sunlight, heat, sparks, open flame or any other ignition source. Do not smoke. 
• Use explosion-proof electrical (ventilating, lighting and material handling) equipment.
• Take precautionary measures against electrostatic discharges. To avoid fire or explosion, dissipate static electricity during transfer by grounding and bonding containers and equipment before transferring material. 
• Provide automatic sprinkler system.
• Build a spillage pool to collect spills.
• Suitable containers: Stainless steel, carbon steel, iron, aluminum, copper, nickel, polypropylene, glass, tin. Plastic containers can only be used if approved for flammable liquids.
• Unsuitable materials for containers: Aluminium; plastic materials, PVC 

DISPOSAL CONSIDERATIONS

• Prevent entry into sewers, drains, underground or confined spaces, water intakes and waterways. 
• Collect waste for disposal at an authorized disposal facility.
• Recycle if possible.
• Ensure it is disposed of in accordance with legal regulations.
• Choose waste reduction methods whenever possible.
• It is recommended that waste codes are agreed with the user and environmental officer.
• Do not reuse empty containers. Flammable gases may accumulate in the containers.
