HANDLING

• Avoid contact with skin, eyes, and clothing. 
• Do not smoke, eat or drink when handling the product. 
• Avoid dust formation. Do not breathe dust/spray. 
• Always wear protective clothing, close-fitting chemical worker's safety googles, hard hat and rubber gloves.
• Wash hands thoroughly after handling.  
• This product should be used in closed system.
• When diluting, always add the product to water. Never add water to the product. 
• Transfer solids byusing corrosive resistance tools or equipments.
• Preferably transfer by pump or gravity.

SAFE STORAGE (Requirements for storage areas and containers)

• Store in original and properly labelled containers. 
• Keep in a dry and well-ventilated place. Protect from moisture. 
• Conditions to avoid: Freezing
• The floor must be waterproof and anti-slip. 
• Keep away from Incompatible products such as nitric acid and other strong acids.
• Do not store or mix with water, acids, flammable liquids, organic halogen compunds, nitro methane. 
• Keep container tightly closed in order to prevent the conversion of sodium hydroxide to sodium carbonate by carbon dioxide in the air.
• Suitable packaging material:  Stainless steel, hermetic polyethylene, polypropylene, polypropylene laminated bags, as well as soft containers made of polypropylene material, carbon steel, carbon steel drums, polyethene sacks or Big- Bags. 
• Unsuitable packaging materials: metals such as aluminum, magnesium, tin, zinc, copper, bronze, brass, chromium  and water-permeable materials. 

DISPOSAL CONSIDERATIONS

• Dispose of rinse water in accordance with local and national regulations. 
• Control run-off water and prevent it from entering water courses or drainage systems. The heat generated by contact with water (heat of dilution) may be sufficient to ignite other combustible materials. 
• Do not flush caustic residues to sewer. Do not get water inside the containers.
